Challenge, Learn, Sweat – REPEAT!

As I think about what’s to come in October (Death Valley, CA – 100 miles), I can’t help but get antsy and itching to get on my bike.  Being that it is the middle of winter in NYC, and mother nature is bestowing us with exorbitant amounts of snow…let’s just say the roads have been less than desirable.  A conundrum!  So while I stare at my bike dreaming of slush-free streets…what is a girl to do? What is the next best thing?  Riding a bike to nowhere indoors that’s what! Where the music is pumping, and Jams are tight – Mother Nature be damned I will get my miles in!  Today was the perfect storm!

Tonight I stepped into my first class at Peloton Studios in Chelsea!  Let me start with this… Tonight’s ride theme was MOTOWN!  One more time: M O T O W N – they had me at hello.  Peloton sets itself apart from other cycling studios by utlizing their own high-tech bike design.  Classes can be taken in studio or  live online (as long as you own a Peloton Bike). I clip in and get my bike set up and in comes the instructor – this ball of fire who had us “sweating with SWAGGER” Robin Arzon! Class was killer!!!  45 minutes of pure sweat – just what I needed!  Sign up (PS your First Class is FREE – SA-WEET!) and snag your spot in Robin’s Class – trust me you won’t regret it!!! Special Shout out to Bondi Band for holding my CGM receiver in place all ride long! (Always in T1D style! Armbands are not just for iPhones!)

Remember kids, try something NEW, CHALLENGE yourself.  We said 2015 will be EPIC – epic does not happen when you sit around and wait!  Challenge your mind, challenge your body, experience new things, and keep learning!  Life is a journey and you create it!

Stay Fit Stay Fly!

I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like”
